DMACC Softball – Dare to be GREAT!

As you make your college and athletic decision, it is important for you and your family to take a close look at each college and softball program.  

DMACC players win ON THE FIELD, IN the Classroom, and help make our community a better place to live! 

On the Field:

  • DMACC has earned SIX National World Series appearances in six years.
  • DMACC has Three Final Four World Series finishes.
  • DMACC has earned Seven consecutive Top Ten National rankings in six years.
  • Next year, DMACC will have seven former players competing at the NCAA Division 1 Level.  In addition DMACC has four other players competing at the NCAA D2 Level.  Over the six year period, every player has had the opportunity to continue their softball career after playing at DMACC.
  • Major College conferences that have actively recruited DMACC Softball players include, SEC, Big Ten, Big XII, Missouri Valley, Mountain West, AAC, Sunbelt, Horizon, MAC, and Big East.
  • DMACC has developed 24 All Americans in Seven Years.
  • DMACC players have earned National awards including NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year, NJCAA World Series Outstanding Pitcher, Mariucci National Hitting Award winners, and Pitcher of the Year and NJCAA National Pitcher of the Year.
  • The DMACC Coaching staff has earned THREE Midwest Coaching staff of the Year Awards.  Coach Ligouri has won over 910 games, and is in the Softball Coaches Hall of Fame.

Academically:

  • DMACC has averaged 17 Academic All Region Team selections per year.
  • DMACC 2017 Team GPA was 3.47, and all 20 players earned a 3.0 or higher.
  • DMACC has a 100 % Graduation rate from DMACC
  • DMACC has a 100% Graduation rate for its alumni that have gone on to complete their degrees at 4 Year universities.
  • In just 6 years – DMACC has two Alumni that already have earned Post Graduate degrees.

In the Community:

  • DMACC Softball players have averaged a minimum of 30 hours per year of volunteer community service.
  • Community Service Projects include:
    • Mentoring program with 2nd-6th graders in the community.
    • Projects with physically and mentally disabled
    • Special Olympics volunteers
    • Shop with a Cop project at Christmas
    • Adopt a Family project for Christmas
    • Food Bank
    • Meals from the Heartland
    • Teammates for Life
    • Pink Out Game and related events
