The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Tyler Sansgaard the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II men's golf for the week of September 20 to 26.

Sansgaard, a Covid-19 freshman (CoFR) from Nevada, is the first member of the DMACC men's golf team to be honored by the conference this season.

Sansgaard shared medalist honors with Brandon McCarty of Kirkwood Community College (KCC) in the ICCAC Fall Preview Sept. 20 at The Preserve at Lake Rathbun, posting a three-under-par 69. He led the field in seven birdies in the one-day event.

Sansgaard also helped the DMACC men's golf team to the team championship in the Quad Cup Sept. 24 at Okoboji, a match play tournament that included Iowa Central Community College (ICCC), North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) and Iowa Lakes Community College (ILCC).

The DMACC men's golf team will play in the Hawkeye Invite Oct. 1 at Fox Ridge Golf Course in Dike.
