Five members of the DMACC men's track & field team represented the Bears in the 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Men's & Women's Track & Field Championships May 14 to 16 at Hobbs, N.M.
Sophomore Eli Page of Vinton garnered DMACC's top finish when he placed fifth in the men's mile run, crossing the finish line with a time of 4 minutes, 09.87 seconds. Sophomore Zack Stoermer of Des Moines finished 13th in 4:15.05 and freshman Sam Mora of Grimes was 17th in 4:17.33. Mehdi Melaouah of Odessa College (OC) won the event with a time of 4:07.55.
Page, Stoermer Mora and freshman Gabe List of Watertown, S.D., ran in the men's distance medley relay and finished ninth in 10:02.85. OC won the race with a time of 9:48.40.
Freshman Joseph Lawry of Waukee competed in the men's 3000-meter run and finished 28th with a time of 8:52.81. Elias Mebitil-Libert of Garden City Community College (GCCC) won the race in 8:13.56.
The meet closed out the 2025-26 season for the DMACC men's track & field team.
