The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Eli Page the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II Men's Cross Country for the Week of September 22 to 28.
Page, a sophomore from Vinton, is the only member of the DMACC men's cross country team to be honored by the conference this season. He was also honored the week of Sept. 8 to 14.
Page posted a time of 26 minutes, 48 seconds in finishing seventh in the Dutch Open Sept. 26 at Pella. He finished behind runners from Central College (CC), Simpson College (SC) and Grinnell College (GC), all NCAA Division III schools.
Page's performance helped DMACC to a third-place finish in the team standings. The Bears scored 66 points and finished behind CC and SC. CC took the team championship with 35 points and SC was second with 67 points.
The DMACC men's cross country team will run in the Indian Hills Invitational Oct. 10 at Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa.
