DMACC's Eli Page named ICCAC Athlete of the Week

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Eli Page the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II Men's Cross Country for the Week of October 6 to 12.

 

Page, a sophomore from Vinton, is being honored by the conference for the third time this season and he is the only member of the DMACC men's cross country team to be honored by the conference this season. Page was also honored the weeks of Sept. 22 to 28 and Sept. 8 to 14.

 

Page led the Bears to the team championship in the Indian Hills Invitational Oct. 10 at the Indian Hills Cross Country Course at Ottumwa. He posted a time of 25 minutes, 18 seconds over the 8K course, finishing second to Bailey Taig of Indian Hills Community College (IHCC). Taig's time was 24:52.

 

Page has finished third and seventh in his other two meets this fall. He was third in the Trent Smith Invitational Sept. 13 at Mason City, posting a time of 26:39, and placed seventh in the Dutch Open Sept. 26 at Pella, turning in a time of 26:48.

 

The DMACC men's cross country team, ranked ninth in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II poll, will compete in the Region 11 Championships Oct. 24 at Fort Dodge
