DMACC's Eli Page named ICCAC Athlete of the Week
  • Page took medalist honors in the Region 11 Championships

  • Page led the Bears to the Region 11 team championship

 

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Eli Page the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II Men's Cross Country for the week of October 20 to 26.

 

Page, a sophomore from Vinton, is being honored for the fourth time this season and he is the only member of the DMACC men's cross country team to be honored this season. He was also honored the weeks of Oct. 6 to 12, Sept. 22 to 28 and Sept. 8 to 14.

 

Page took Division II medalist honors and led DMACC to the team championship in the Region 11 Championships Oct. 24 at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge. His time over the 8K course was 25 minutes, 37 seconds and he was the first of seven DMACC runners to finish in the top 10.

 

Page also finished first in Division II and led the Bears to the team championship in the 2024 Region 11 Championships.

 

The DMACC men's cross country team, currently ranked third behind defending national champion Lansing (Mich.) Community College (LCC) and Wallace State (Ala.) Community College (WSCC) in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II poll, will run in the 2025 NJCAA Division II Men's Cross Country Championship Nov. 8 at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.

 

Page finished 16th in the 2024 national championships, earning second team All-American honors and leading DMACC to a second-place finish in the team standings.
