- Bears score 110 points and finish behind Lansing Community College
- Stoermer finishes eighth and is named a first team All-American
- Page finishes 21st and earns third team All-American honors
Sophomores Zack Stoermer of Des Moines and Eli Page of Vinton finished eighth and 21st respectively and led the DMACC men's cross country team to a second-place finish in the 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Men's Cross Country Championship November 8 at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
The Bears, who also finished second in the 2024 national championship, scored 110 points and finished behind Lansing Community College (LCC), which won the title with 32 points. DMACC was ranked third behind LCC and Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) in the most recent Division II poll from the NJCAA. PVCC placed third in the national championship with 127 points.
Esteban Boisseau of Cowley County Community College (CCC) took medalist honors with a time of 26 minutes, 15 seconds over the 8K course.
The field included 343 runners who were hampered by snow and slush throughout the course.
Stoermer turned in a time of 27:11 in finishing eighth and Page crossed the finish line in 27:33.
Other DMACC results saw freshman Sam Mora of Grimes finish in 24th place and freshman Christian Choate of Martensdale was 27th. The Bears got a 30th-place finish from sophomore Elijah Blix of Vinton and a 67th-place finish from freshman Joseph Lowry of Waukee. Sophomore Hunter Landphair of Adel rounded out DMACC's performance, crossing the finish line in 70th place.
Mora's time was 27:39, Choate posted a time of 27:42, Blix crossed the finish line in 27:47, Lowry turned in a time of 28:33 and Landphair's time was 28:35.
The meet closed out the 2025 season for the DMACC men's cross country team.
